Oden


Oden. A Japanese dish of various ingredients, e.g. egg, daikon, potato, chikuwa, etc.stewed in soy-flavored dashi. I add whelks this time and it makes more tasty.

Nikujaga


Nikujaga. It simply means "meat and potato" in Japanese. Simmered meat and potatoes.

Tarako



Homemade Tarako. Lightly baked. Tarako is a salted roe food, usually made from pollock. In here I used cod's roe. Although Tara (鱈) actually means cod in Japanese.

Home made Kaiyaki miso (貝焼き味噌) is a local dish of Aomori prefecture (North Japan). Scallops and eggs seasoned with miso that is directly cooked on the shell.
